This course is for anyone involved with maintaining fire extinguishers to become a ‘competent person’ in accordance with the recommendations in BS5306-3:2017.

This intensive three-day programme introduces the student to the requirements of BS5306-3:2017, BS5306-8:2012 and BS5306-9:2015 in a structured manner, covering how to commission, install and maintain any portable fire extinguisher manufactured to BS EN3.

All our courses are run by Alan Palmer in an open and friendly manner. Students are encouraged to get actively involved, ask questions, discuss issues/topics and share their experiences.
The student receives a comprehensive technician's manual and will be given revision papers during the course to ready them for the BS5306-3 exam invigilated by BAFE.
Time will be given outside of the classroom if any student needs additional learning support.
Independent invigilation is carried out on day 4 by BAFE and consists of:
